We woke up late the other morning and didn't make it to church. Anyway, Zoe LOVES going to church and was thoroughly disappointed when we didn't make it.
This was the conversation between me and Zoe when I had to tell her we weren't going:
Me: "Zoe, we slept late and we're not going to make it to church today."
Zoe: "Awwwwww! I'm hungry and wanted a donut!"
Me: "Zoe, you do realize that that's not the reason we go to church, right?"
Zoe: "I know, Mommy! I go to church for Jesus and donuts!"
Well, there you have it! Priorities people!
