Oops....Blow Your Candle Out!

First, ignore the singing! Of course, I'm "in stereo" because I'm holding the camera! Ugh! Sunday evening we had cake and ice cream for Zoe's birthday. Of course, I got her an Elmo cake (that's another story), which was a HUGE hit! And I don't know how you can't laugh as hard as Mark and I did. This is "classic" Lawrence Family household!

Zoe's Mr. Potato Head

As you know from my previous post, my girlfriend, Nikki, sent Zoe a Mr. Potato Head. Zoe and Daddy were playing with it this afternoon and I got Zoe to pose with one of their creations! I never would have thought to get her one of these and it is definitely a big hit with her! Thanks, Nikki!

My Baby Turns Two

Where does the time go? I can remember the day my Zoe was born like it was yesterday and, yet, here we are two years later! It's crazy!!!!! Of course, Zoe got up at 6:00 a.m. and was ready to go! She knew she would have presents and there was no getting her to go back to sleep. As you can see by the video I uploaded, the tricycle was a huge hit. She loved it! And she loved her Mr. Potato Head my girlfriend, Nikki, sent to her. She hasn't quite grasped the concept that the pieces need to go in certain places so it's pretty funny to see how it turns out each time! It's hysterical. I'll have to try to catch a picture of one to post, but she tears it apart pretty quick after getting it together. I've attached a few of my favorite pics of the day and what a day it has been already. We've opened presents, played and went to the zoo and we haven't even done cake and ice cream yet! I'll have to post those later! Enjoy the pics!

My Beautiful Big Girl!

Say Cheese!

I'm Such a Big Girl!

Happy Birthday Zoe!

This is a video I shot of Zoe this morning when she went up to open her presents for her birthday. As you can see, the tricycle was a total hit!

1, 2, 3.....ABCD....Itsy, Bitsy Spider

I've now learned that if I want to catch Zoe doing something, I have to place the camera down somewhere without her paying attention. That's the only way I can catch stuff on video! And this was TOO FREAKIN' CUTE!!!!! Enjoy!

My Big Girl Bed

Our sweet baby Zoe is such a big girl now. So big in fact that we had to take down her crib and put her in a "big girl bed." Mommy got really teary over that one. My baby is growing up so fast and will be two on May 25th. How can that be? And I know at her two year appointment Dr. Beveridge will want to know if she is out of her crib. She is so tall and I've had this fear of her attempting to climb out of her crib and cracking her head. Anyway, we got the bed and if she were to fall out of this one, it's really close to the floor. Here's a picture of our sweet baby taking a nap in her bed. By the way, she LOVES it. We've had a hard time just keeping her out of it.

A Request for Prayers

My office manager and wonderful friend, Rosann Hurst, is currently undergoing a stem stell transplant at Vanderbilt. This past Wednesday she had the port put in place to receive the high dose chemo. She received her first dose of chemo on Thursday and is now receiving injections for the next 10 days (I think) in order to boost her production of stem cells so they can be harvested. Anyway, she's on probably every drug we can think of and will be going through a lot in the next 30 days. I talked to her on Friday and she sounded really good, but you'd have to know Rosann. She's tough as nails and with her faith and determination, I'd place my money on her any day. I know she's going to do great, but you just can't have enough people praying for you. So, please remember Rosann in the coming month while she goes through the process of the stem cell transplant....and it is quite a process. She is blessed to get to stay at home while this is happening; however, she is basically in seclusion. She can't be around anyone (except her sweet husband Bill) because there is just too big of a risk of contracting germs. Pray, pray, pray.
And on another request for prayers, I've got an important appointment on Wednesday and I'm a little nervous about it so I would ask for a few of those prayers, too. Please pray for a good appointment.
Also, my girlfriend Shelley has been really sick (along with her twin girls) and I would ask for prayers for her, as well. Another girlfriend, Nikki, needs our prayers also because her son, Zachary, is having a rough time right now. Most of you know Zachary and his story; however, feel free to check out his latest updates on his website under my "Sites I Like to Visit" section on my Blog.
Thanks to everyone for your prayers.
