Such a Big Girl!

It's official....Zoe is such a big girl! Over the long holiday weekend I decided we were going to give up her bottles and I really worked on getting her to drink strictly from her sippy cup. By the time she went back to school on Tuesday she was fully on her sippy cup! NO MORE BOTTLES! However, over the past several days, Zoe has been refusing to drink her formula. She would drink anything else out of her sippy cup, but she was beginning to hate the formula. Therefore, per Dr. Beveridge's orders, we switched to whole milk last night and she drank her sippy cup like a champ! She LOVES it! She did the same thing this morning! My baby is such a big girl! I don't have any pics......I just wanted to gush a little!

Zoe Goes to the Zoo

We finally were able to take Zoe to the Nashville Zoo! Yeah! We have been wanting to do this for quite some time; however, due of her asthma and the constant illnesses, we weren't able to. Now that warm weather has arrived and most things have already bloomed, we are finally able to get out and about and we are LOVING IT! And Zoe had a big time. I think she enjoyed riding in her stroller more than the actual animals, but I suspect that the older she gets the more she'll enjoy it. I sure do hope so because we purchased a zoo membership and plan to use it a lot!
Meerkats are cool!
I love the Zoo....and my sippy cup!

Now tell me Daddy.....what's a Meerkat?

I'm ready to go, but I'm not going to leave this hat on!

Dressed and ready to go to the Zoo! I'm too cute!

Happy First Birthday Zoe!

I simply can't believe it. My little Zoe has turned one. Where did the time go? I can remember one year ago today as if it were yesterday. I can remember what I was wearing that day. I can remember riding in the car on my way to my checkup with Dr. Piper. I can remember being at the intersection of Lebanon Road and Briley Parkway at approximately 7:45 a.m. and reading the Mt. Juliet Chronicle while Mark was driving. I remember looking at the clock and saying to Mark, "Well, I guess Dr. Piper is delivering Tracy about right now." Tracy was a girl I used to work with when I first moved to Nashville and I knew from talking to her at Dr. Piper's office that she was going to be delivered that morning via C-Section. I can remember being scared out of my mind when Zoe wouldn't take the practice breaths they wanted to see on ultrasound and Dr. Piper saying to me, "Courtney, May 25th is a great day for a birthday. I'm not taking any chances with this baby." That day was the greatest in my life. All I can say is you can never know unconditional love until you have a child. We feel so incredibly blessed each day to have her.
Anyway, I took the day off to spend it with Zoe and when Daddy got home from work we celebrated her birthday. I've attached pics of our celebration. Of course, we're having the "big" birthday party with friends and family at the Nashville Zoo next Saturday, but there was no way I was going to let Zoe's birthday pass without having one heck of a celebration at home. I hope you enjoy the pics!

Which one do I play with first?

This is cool! I can ride this AND change the channels with my new Elmo remote control!

I can't decide what to rip open next!

I love this!

However, I'm not too sure about this cake!

What is this stuff?

Happy Birthday to Me!

Isn't this the cutest birthday cake ever? It's a shaggy dog!

I'm so over this!

You've got to be kidding me! I'm not going to keep wearing this!

I'm too cute in my birthday goucho pants!

My First Shoe Fitting....

Last weekend, Mark and I took Zoe to the mall to have her measured for a really good pair of walking shoes. Anyway, we went to Stride Rite and we had a ball. Zoe LOVED her stroller and was just taking it all in. Enjoy the pics!

What Mommy?

Daddy's Sneezes

For some reason, Zoe loves it when her Daddy sneezes. I don't know why, but she just laughs and laughs. I was actually able to catch it on video. This is too cute!

Biter Biscuits

Since Zoe is almost a year old now, we've been giving her "finger foods" to help her practice self feeding. Anyway, I sat Zoe in her high chair this afternoon after she had finished her lunch and gave her a "biter biscuit" and her sippy cup. It was hilarious! She made such a mess, but she did wonderful and LOVED the biter biscuit and the apple juice. Oh, and I've attached a video for you to enjoy, too!

Now, don't you wish you had a biter biscuit to eat? Here's the video:

My First Birthday Presents

Last weekend Aunt Patty & Uncle Poopy came down for a visit. We are always so excited to see them and the visits are never long enough! Anyway, they brought Zoe her first birthday presents since they won't get to come down for her birthday party. I've attached pics of the gifts and of Aunt Patty & Uncle Poopy! We love you and miss you already!
