Palm Sunday Performance

I realize I'm a little late in posting this, but I just downloaded all of the videos off of my Flip!

Zoe's Reading Award

Here's a video of our girl receiving the reading award for her class!

Softball Videos

Here's a collection of videos from Zoe's softball season.....

Weiners

Yep.  You read the title correctly.  Let's just say that our child is growing up way too fast!  The other day, Mark and I were sitting on the couch talking when Zoe decided to jump into her Daddy's lap.  It injured Mark a little and he said, "Watch it, Sissy!  You just hurt Daddy in his privates!"  Zoe said, "You mean your weiner?  I have a tootie and boys have weiners!"  What?!?  It's amazing the "education" she gets at school from her friends.  I don't know that Daddy and I are quite ready for this!  It probably didn't help matters that we both laughed hysterically, does it?

Field Day

I was able to take off of work and spend all day with Zoe for her Field Day festivities.  She had an absolute ball and so did I!  I will admit that I was worn out by the time I got home that day, but it was so worth it!  Zoe won first place ribbons for the crab crawl and the 25 yard dash!  She also won first in two team events for the ball bounce and the tire roll!  Oh, and I have to brag and tell you that she was the only girl who could throw a football through the target!  Ha!

Check out the teachers vs. fifth grade kickball tournament....

Student of the Month

Our Zoe girl won Student of the Month for her Kindergarten class!  Apparently, she won it back in the Fall, but we were never given notice of it.  Anyway, Student of the Month is for academics and we couldn't be prouder of her!

Kindergarten Program

So, where Zoe attends school they have an end of year program for the parents.  Of course, I did shoot video of the entire performance, but it's too long to upload to YouTube so I'll have to figure something else out!  anyway, my girl is such a performer and we loved every minute of watching her!  It's so bittersweet.....

Mother's Day 2012

To say that I'm spoiled would be an understatement.  I realize that I get a weekend to celebrate Mother's Day, but every single day is a blessing to me.  I really try not to take anything for granted.  I realize that I'm not a perfect and fail miserably at this at times, but I really try to appreciate my family.  My hubby is great because he doesn't ever hesitate to let me know how much he appreciates me ALL YEAR LONG.  But, it is nice to have a weekend that is all your own.  Anyway, Mark and Zoe had a "date night" on Friday night and went shopping for my gifts.  I was completely spoiled because they bought me the latest Sookie Stackhouse novel, a bottle of Chanel perfume, a bottle of Tommy Girl perfume and three new movies that I've been wanting.  Plus, Zoe had a "party" in her bedroom complete with sign and cafe and menu.  It was too cute really.  I am beyond blessed!  I tell Zoe pretty much every day that I'm so thankful that God picked me to be here Momma!

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.  ~Honoré de Balzac

A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.  ~Washington Irving

Check out the wrapping job!  I LOVE it!

H O O T E R S

Zoe and I were on our way to the Riggs' house to help them with a yard sale.  Actually, my Shelley girl always helps me because she is beyond generous in allowing me to put my stuff in her yard sale.  We didn't make too much money, but we sure did have fun trying!

While we were in the car on our way over there, we pass a certain restaurant and Zoe proceeds to ask me, "Mommy, how do you say H O O T E R S?"  I actually burst out laughing and end up laughing so hard that I have tears streaming down my face.  How on earth do I respond to that one?!?  Of course, I decide that I just need to be honest with her and tell her because she's smart and she'll eventually figure it out.  Geez!  Is this what I'm in for next?!?

Orioles v. White Sox 05/12/2012

This was the last official game of the season before going into the tournament.
Of course, our girls won!

Muffins with Mom

In preparation for Mother's Day weekend, the Kindergarten has "Muffins with Mom" which actually takes place in the classroom.  My Zoe girl was so excited that I got to come to school and spend some time with her and I was glad, too.  It was awesome and I will have this memory with me always.

God sure has blessed me with a beautiful girl - on the inside and out!

Orioles v. Pirates 05/08/2012

We beat those stinkin' Pirates again!

Daddy's Pancakes

My sweet, sweet hubby made pancakes for his girls and he complained that they weren't turning out quite like Mommy's usually do.  Hmmmmm........

Kind of pitiful, aren't they?
I'm sure he's beyond thrilled that I've posted these to the Blog!
I love you, honey!

Orioles v. Braves 05/05/2012

I really, really, really wanted to beat the Braves, but we lost to them by 1 stinkin' point!
I'm still proud of my girl!

Orioles v. Diamondbacks 05/02/2012

The Orioles have done it again!  Way to go!
