Memorial Day at the Nashville Zoo

Mark and I decided we would take Zoe to the Nashville Zoo on Memorial Day.  I have to say that we had a wonderful time, but boy was it HOT!  Where did Spring go?  We have definitely jumped right into Summer and I have to say that I don't like it....AT ALL!  I'm just not a girl who loves this type of weather.  Regardless, we had a great time and Zoe really enjoyed herself!

The Birthday Party of the Year

Since Zoe and her best friend, Meredith, share the same birthday, Meredith's mother (Tracie) and I got together and decided to throw the girls a joint birthday party.  Anyway, we rented two bounce castle (one with a slide), hired a face painter, had a pinata, popcorn machine, sack races, etc.  You name it, we probably did it!  Anyway, needless to say, the party was huge and I'm sure will be talked about for quite some time.  When your child looks at you and says "Mommy, this was the best birthday party ever," you know it was a resounding success!  Check out the pics from the party:

My Big Five Year Old

Can you believe it?  Yeah...me neither!  My baby girl has turned five years old!  Where has the time gone?!?  She is the biggest blessing Mark and I could ever ask for and we thank God for her every single day!  I have to say that it depresses me that she will be entering Kindergarten in August, too!  Anyway, Mark and I decorated her door for her birthday again (now a tradition in our house) and took her out to eat.  Do you know where my child chose to go?  You're never going to believe this...Cracker Barrel!  The kid wanted breakfast for dinner and she definitely knows the best place to get it!  Anyway, check out some pics from our day:

Zoe's First Dance Recital

Zoe had her first dance recital and actually danced a ballet number to the song "You're Never Alone" and a tap number to "Shake Your Groove Thing" and both were absolutely precious!  She was such the performer.  I know you've seen the video I posted that Shelley took of her dancing her tap number, but I'll also have the video from her ballet number, too.  Aunt Shelley did a wonderful job shooting the video for us!  Check out the few pics I managed to take even though there was total chaos around us....
